In the national capital Delhi, rain and strong winds may continue between September 24 and 26. On September 24, wind speeds are expected to remain around 25 to 30 kilometres per hour.

Several districts of Uttar Pradesh are also likely to experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Lucknow, Prayagraj, Azamgarh, Sultanpur, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Ballia, Rae Bareli and Sonbhadra are among the districts where weather conditions may worsen. In some areas, wind speeds could reach 60 to 65 kilometres per hour.

Weather to Deteriorate in Bihar and Jharkhand

Several districts of Bihar, including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Supaul and Araria, are likely to receive heavy rainfall.

In Jharkhand, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh and Giridih are also under an alert for rain and strong winds.

Heavy Rain Raises Landslide Risk in Hills

Several districts of Uttarakhand may witness heavy rainfall, increasing the risk of landslides in hilly areas.

In Himachal Pradesh, Mandi, Kullu, Kangra and Solan have also been issued warnings for heavy rain and strong winds.

Several parts of Jammu and Kashmir are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

Several areas of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Chhattisgarh may experience heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds. In the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, wind speeds could reach 70 to 75 kilometres per hour.

Amid deteriorating weather conditions at sea, fishermen have been advised to exercise caution. With rain, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds expected across multiple regions, authorities have urged people to remain particularly cautious during adverse weather conditions.
